Vanessa and I decided years ago that we were going camping at Bear Creek State Park. Back then we took a ride to see what the campground looked like. We wanted to see if there was a place to set up next to the lake. After, we drove around the park a few times we found our spot to set up the camper. We talked about the place all the way home. Now it was a waiting game until Friday got here.
My wife was working at the garment factory at the time and she couldn’t get Friday off. That put some pressure on Adam and I. We decided to hook up the camper early that morning and drive to Bear Creek and set up the pop-up. We pull into the camp site and Adam guided me as I backed into the site. After we unhooked the camper from the truck, we got the pop-up ready for the weekend. We had a long drive back to Appomattox and get ready. I locked the door and we took off for home.
