The Appomattox Town Council heard an in-depth financial analysis report of the town’s financial status, presented by Jimmy Sanderson, senior vice president of Davenport & Company from Richmond, during its workshop meeting on Tuesday.
Overall, the report showed that the town’s finances are quite healthy across the board. In comparison with other local municipalities, Appomattox generally rated in most categories second only to Altavista in terms of financial health and strength.
Throughout the presentation, Sanderson pointed out areas in which the town is strong, recommended slight modifications, and indicated ways in which the town can grow even further financially and can make stronger investments.
