Two local 4-H members participated in the Virginia 4-H and FFA Agriscience Research Poster contest at the State Fair of Virginia in early October. The Agriscience Research Poster contest is an opportunity for students interested in scientific principles and emerging technologies in the agricultural industry.
Eleanor McCann entered a research poster entitled “It’s Peanut Butter Jelly Time.” McCann tested to see if squirrels had a preference for different types of peanut butters and jellies. She earned a $150 college scholarship sponsored by the Virginia State Fair.
