The Black Lives Matter movement has come to Appomattox County today. Protesters are assembling at the Appomattox Courthouse on Court Street and will begin demonstrations shortly. The atmosphere has been peaceful thus far. Protests have been occurring ever since video surfaced of the death of George Floyd in Minnesota.
