Virginia State Police is investigating a two-vehicle crash involving a school bus and a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer this morning in Appomattox County.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:38 a.m. this morning at the intersection of Route 460 westbound and Peach Street when the Trailblazer struck the rear of the school bus. The bus was carrying approximately 40 students at the time.
Seven students and the driver of the Trailblazer, Chester L. Hickman, Jr., were transported to an area medical facility with minor injuries.
Hickman, 57, of Pamplin, has been charged with reckless driving.

APPOMATTOX, Va. -- Virginia State Police is investigating a two-vehicle crash involving a school bus this morning in Appomattox County.

The bus was carrying approximately 40 students at the time.
Four students and the driver of the other vehicle were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
