Steven Edward Armsden, 46, of Appomattox, stipulated to evidence against him on a felony probation violation May 28 in Appomattox County Circuit Court.

According to the summary evidence presented in court, Armsden had pleaded guilty of grand larceny in Campbell County in June 2019, which triggered the probation violation in Appomattox County. Court records show that in September 2019, he was sentenced in Campbell County Circuit Court to serve a three-month sentence.

In August 2018, Armsden pleaded guilty to felony shoplifting, a third or subsequent offense, in Appomattox County. Court records show he received one day in jail and two years of probation time for the conviction.

For the probation violation, a two-year and 11-month suspended sentence was revoked and resuspended with an additional three years’ requirement of good behavior and one year of supervised probation.
