The Central Virginia Planning District Commission’s new executive director, Alec Brebner, visited Appomattox on Monday, took a tour of the area, and officially introduced himself to Appomattox Town Council members at Monday evening’s regular monthly meeting.

Brebner spoke in positive terms about what he witnessed and was informed about during his time in Appomattox.

“It was very interesting to learn about some of the projects you all have going on — the streetscape and the improvements on Highway 24 towards the (Appomattox Court House National Historical Park), and also on the Main Street and the downtown area. So, great projects; it’s exciting to see those types of improvements,” he said.
