Man sentenced to one year for unlawful wounding

On March 14 in Appomattox County Circuit Court, Marcus Lamont Wright, 40, of Appomattox, was sentenced to serve one year for felony unlawful wounding, to which he pleaded guilty in December 2023.

Wright also received four years of suspended time, 10 years of a good behavior requirement, and two years of supervised probation upon release. He may obtain work release, if eligible.
