The Appomattox County Sheriff's Office issued the following press release:
On Wednesday, April 12, investigators arrested Ebrahim Ali–Mohammed Al-Gami, age 47 of Appomattox, and proprietor of Triangle Tobacco and Vape located at 189 Old Courthouse Road in Appomattox, for one count of distribution of marijuana to a minor, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana between one-half ounce and five pounds.
As part of an on-going investigation into illegal product sales from this business, investigators executed a search warrant at the business on the afternoon of April 12. Investigators collected numerous examples of suspected illegal products that were being sold in the business. These products will be sent to the state lab for additional testing, additional criminal charges may be forthcoming.
In unrelated narcotics distribution investigations, Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of the following individuals:
- Victor Eugene Bernard, age 30 of Appomattox, Possession with Intent Schedule I/II
- Devin O’Shea Jones, age 26 of Appomattox, Possession with Intent Schedule I/II
- Phillip Darnell Pennix, age 26 of Gladstone,Possession with Intent Schedule I/II
- Candace Pollard, age 39 of Appomattox, Possession with Intent Schedule I/II
- Stacie Lynn Ragland, age 39 of Pamplin, Possession with Intent Schedule I/II
- Laura Haywood Torrence, age 38 of Appomattox, Possession with Intent Schedule III
Subsequent to the above arrests, two search warrants were executed on April 11 at a private home in the county that resulted in the seizure of over 33 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
All of the above mentioned arrests are the results of the investigative efforts of the Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office and the Central Virginia Drug and Gang Task Force which is comprised of officers from the Virginia State Police, Amherst County Sheriff’s Office, Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office and Campbell County Sheriff’s Office.
