Man sentenced for assaulting mother

Christopher Antonio Dixon, 27, of Appomattox, was sentenced to serve eight months of imprisonment on three charges related to a domestic assault involving his mother that occurred Dec. 11, 2022.

Dixon pleaded guilty Thursday in Appomattox County Circuit Court to felony strangulation resulting in wound or injury, felony assault and battery of a family member (third offense), and violation of a protective order (second offense within five years).
