The Clayton C. Bryant Arena, owned and operated by mother-daughter duo Kay Kay Roper and Shannon Bryant, is a horse racing arena by family, for family. The arena was built by Clayton C. Bryant, and has been in operation under four generations of the Roper family.
“Back in 2006, my Grandfather Clayton C. Bryant, Sr., started building the arena,” said Kay Kay, “We’re a family of horse lovers and horse enthusiasts. He wanted to have a spot here where we could all ride and train the horses, to take part of the family and the sport that we love.”
The family has been hosting barrel horse racing shows since the creation of the arena, with Kay Kay, her husband Adam Roper, and both of their children participating in the races. It’s a family of champions, as each member of the Roper family has been the recipient of at least one state or national barrel horse racing championship.
