Outbuilding catches on fire

The Appomattox Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched for a structure fire Sunday morning off Oakliegh Ave. just outside of the Town of Appomattox. Crews arrived to find a small outbuilding on fire and fully involved. Crews extinguished the fire and returned to service. Units operating were AVFD Engine 1, Engine 3 and Tanker 5; Appomattox Sheriff's Office; and Appomattox Rescue Squad.
