Firefighters take precaution, verify false alarm

Firefighters with the Appomattox County Volunteer Fire Department check the Appomattox District Court Building at 297 Court St. after a call came in around 5:45 p.m. for a fire alarm that went off. The crew checked the building to verify that it was a false alarm. On scene were Engine 1 and 3 as well as Ladder 7.
