The library’s 2023 Summer Reading Program “All Together Now” is seeing record numbers of participation. In the first two weeks there have been over 200 patrons from ages two and up that have already signed up, and many have started turning in their reading logs and earning prizes or entries into raffles, depending up the age group. It is not too late to join the Summer Reading Program; you can come to the circulation desk and a staff member will be happy to help you. To find out more about this annual program, visit our website at www.jrjml.org and click on the link to our 2023 Summer Reading Program.
Due to the rainy weather all week, the Methodist Daycare had to cancel their special Story & Craft Time at the library. We didn’t let a little rain spoil the the fun. We sent a copy of the book “Welcome to Morningtown” by Blake Hellman and illustrated by Steven Henry to the daycare along with the sunshine craft projects! This extra event is just a small sample of what we do as a part of community outreach.
