Over the Memorial Day weekend the painted lady caterpillars turned into butterflies, and were released on Tuesday, May 30th. We would like to thank ACLA (Appomattox County Library Association) for providing the butterfly habitat and the painted ladies for this educational and interactive display.

May is National Get Caught Reading Month, and the Appomattox Rescue Squad got caught reading at the library. A HUGE thank you to Mike, Kevin and Rupert from the Rescue Squad for helping host the Wednesday, May 31st’s Preschool Story & Craft Time. They featured the book “Finn’s Fun Trucks: Rapid Responders” by Finn Coyle. The boys in blue did an amazing job of reading, passing out juice and snacks, and helping the kids color their activity sheets featuring Paw Patrol!
