Last week, CNBC released their 2022 list of the states ranking as being positive for business. Virginia ranked a very strong third with our neighbor to the south, North Carolina, winning the top slot this year. With another neighbor, Tennessee, coming in at number six, our portion of the southeast seems poised for strong economic performance. ....
On Monday of this week, I was requested to present a report of the Central Virginia Workforce Development Board (CVWDB) to the Appomattox County Board of Supervisors. I have served on the board for several years and am currently one of two representing Appomattox on the board, which oversees workforce development in Appomattox, Amherst, Bedford and Campbell counties and the city of Lynchburg.
