Raiders alumni softball game raises funds for state championship rings

The first annual Raider Alumni Softball Game was held Saturday at Appomattox County High School. The event benefits the Raiders softball program, and this year specifically to help raise money toward the purchase of the Raiders’ 2022 Class 2 State Championship rings.

Appomattox softball won its second consecutive VHSL Class 2 title by defeating Page County 1-0 on June 11 in Salem.

Donna Paulette and Jean Adair were the umpires on the field. Brandon Bryant was behind the plate. Coaches for the teams were Mary Tolley and Janet Rawes.
