A few weeks ago I did a story on Jim Woody from Lynchburg about his collection with old wooden lures. I re-read the article and it made me think about my sister Anna and I when we went fishing with our Grandfather Leo (Pappy) DeCresci.
Pappy always used a fly rod fishing pole whenever he went fishing. Pappy had this favorite place to fish, and we were going again to this place.
I remembered we had to cross over two railroad tracks before we got to it. When we crossed over the second set of tracks, I knew we were getting close. The traffic light was not far away. Now all we had to do was look for the big neon Pink Elephant sign.
