The Appomattox Raiders football team won 51 to 26 on Friday at home against the Chatham Cavaliers.

Raiders head coach Doug Smith stated once again, “We had a pretty good week of practice, which led to our best effort performance this season. We had the best chemistry of the season from the beginning of the game until the end.

Smith said he enjoyed watching them play.

“Once again, I hope we can grow from this and improve each week through the rest of our season,” he said.

“Our entire offensive line had a tremendous challenge this week and they certainly deserve credit for their efforts. Tre Kelso had a solid day running hard and rushing for over 100 yards. Reagan Conroy once again, had a good game running the offense as quarterback. Defensively, Kevin Fitch and Tevin Kidd had a good number of tackles between them,” Smith added.
