Dodge reassigned from ACHS athletic director position

Appomattox County Public Schools (ACPS) has confirmed that Chris Dodge, the athletic director at Appomattox County High School (ACHS), has been reassigned from the position but is still employed by the school district.

"Mr. Dodge has been reassigned to a teaching position for the 2022-23 school year. I am not able to comment on any details as it is a personnel matter," said ACPS Superintendent Annette Bennett in an email to the Times Virginian.

The Times Virginian contacted Dodge by email for a statement. He replied, stating he is "unable to comment at this time."

Dodge was hired as ACHS athletic director in 2013. During his tenure, the school has won multiple state athletic team and individual championships in football, softball, baseball, golf, and track and field.
