Appomattox varsity boys lose tight contest to Nelson County; JV Raiders win

On Tuesday night, the Appomattox Raiders boys varsity basketball team lost a close home contest to Nelson County by a score of 34-32. The loss gives the Raiders a 1-2 record. 

Jordan Scott had a big night for Appomattox with 16 points, 10 rebounds, 5 steals and 4 blocked shots. 

Conner Scruggs hit three 3-pointers for the Raiders, finishing with 9 points. 

Jaren Purvis led Nelson County with 13 points. 

The JV Raiders dominated Nelson County, winning 56-24. Jeremiah Harris led the way for Appomattox with 20 points. 

The next scheduled game for the Raider boys teams is slated for Jan. 25, this time traveling to Nelson County.
