Marion L. Williamson, 88, of Appomattox, died July 7, 2019, in Okaloosa, Florida. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Frank Williamson. 

Born in Appomattox County, February 13, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Elma Marsh and John Miller Lucado. Marion was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church, where she was former president of the WMU and sang in the adult choir, and treasurer of Evergreen Cemetery. She worked for Appomattox Garment Company and retired from Appomattox County Treasurers Office as Deputy Treasurer and also worked for the Commissioner of Revenue.   

She is survived by one son, Coy “CD” Williamson, Sr of Niceville, Fla.; one grandson, Coy Williamson, Jr and wife, Jessica of Niceville, Fla.; five great-grandchildren, Jayden, Marcus, Landen, Kason, and Ellie; three sisters, Patricia Phelps of Appomattox, Dorothy Lindsey of Madison Heights, and Phyllis Smith of Rustburg; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. E.A. Baldwin of Appomattox and Mrs. R. E. Marston of Brookneal; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Louise Brooks; and three brothers, John Lucado, Robert Lucado, and Gene Lucado.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Evergreen Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Estes officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.
