On Saturday, Appomattox County High School had three members of its indoor track team participate at Liberty University in the Walter Bass High School Invitational.

Morgan Flamm qualified for the VHSL state championship with a leap of 8-feet. At the moment, Flamm is third in the 1A/2A state ranking. She was able to compete after competition swimming on Friday. Her mark is No. 1 ranked for the 2C regional, which will be held Feb.16 at Roanoke College.

Marissa Perry cleared 7-feet, which qualified for VHSL state championship. She is currently ranked No. 4 in the 2C regionals.

Dezyre Christian competed in the 55-meter dash. She's ranked fifth in that event and is currently ranked No. 2 in the long jump for Region 2C.

Appomattox will compete at Heritage High School on Thursday at 6 p.m.
