It’s time for another election season, and before you know it the March 2024 Presidential Primary will be here. The Appomattox County Registrar’s Office has provided information that will be helpful to local citizens in preparation to exercise their constitutional right to vote.
- The dual Presidential Primary will be held on Tuesday, March 5. This is known nationwide as “Super Tuesday.” Approximately one-third of the presidential delegates to the nominating conventions are elected on Super Tuesday.
- Voters can choose either a Republican or a Democratic ballot. It does not matter which primary they have voted in in the past; Virginians are free to choose for each Primary election.
- Early voting begins on Friday, Jan. 19 at the Appomattox County Registrar’s Office, located at 367 Virginia Avenue, Appomattox. Any registered voter in the county is welcome to vote at the office.
