Wolfbane Productions will conclude its award-winning, 15th anniversary season with an indoor production of one of the funniest farces ever written, “Noises Off” by Michael Frayn. This rip-roaring classic takes the audience behind-the-scenes at an acting troupe rehearsing and performing the farce “Nothing On.”
Despite nerves, dropped lines, and technical difficulties, they make it through rehearsal and open the show. As time goes by, things deteriorate until pandemonium ensues and axe-wielding co-stars, drunken cast members, and misplaced sardines take center stage during a disaster of a performance that threatens to jinx the old saying, “The show must go on.”
Noises Off will run Dec. 1-18 at Wolfbane’s downtown Appomattox venue, 197 Old Courthouse Road, Appomattox, Thursday through Saturday evenings starting at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 3 p.m. Tickets must be purchased in advance and range in price from $27 to $42. Tickets are on sale now through the Box Office at 434-579-3542 or online at www.wolfbane.org.
