CASA of Central Virginia will hold its 8th Annual CASA Superhero Run on Nov. 5 at Percival’s Island. All proceeds help recruit, train, and support Court Appointed Special Advocates to advocate for local children in foster care. Because every child needs a hero but abused and neglected children need a superhero.

• Start time: 10 a.m.

• End Time: noon

• 5K Run or 5K Walk: $35

• Assisted participant 5K: $17.50

• Kids 1-Mile (Red & Blue Heats): $20

• Couch Crusader: $25
