Following the success of Appomattox for Equality’s (AFE) first Black History Month video series, and with a generous grant from Virginia Tourism Corporation (VTC), AFE will launch a full rebrand, including logos, website, social media pages and newsletter on Thursday, April 1, dedicated to community support and increasing tourism numbers.

This grassroots organization officially became a nonprofit 501(c)(3) in November 2020 and plans to use the new platform to create new opportunities for the greater Appomattox area.

The vision of the relaunch is to create an equal space for communication, education and celebration.

Up next, Appomattox for Equality will be hosting the second annual Juneteenth commemoration in historic downtown Appomattox on June 19 in Courtland Field. This free family-friendly event will feature entertainment, games, food, music, vendors and more.
