Four constitutional officers in Appomattox County will be running for re-election in November’s election. As of press time, they are all unopposed.

The county’s constitutional officers are Commonwealth’s Attorney Leslie M. “Les” Fleet, Circuit Court Clerk Janet A. Hix, Commissioner of the Revenue Sara R. Henderson, and Treasurer Victoria C. Phelps.

Sheriff Donald D. Simpson announced in January that he will not seek re-election.

The deadline to file as a candidate is June 23.

The election will be held Nov. 7.
