The Appomattox County School Board recently discussed the possible move of the school district’s maintenance department from Carver-Price Complex to another location in the future.
Appomattox County Public Schools (ACPS) Superintendent Dr. Annette Bennett said the potential move is only in the discussion stages at this point because the move, if it becomes necessary, would not need to take place for several more years.
The subject also came up during last Tuesday’s joint meeting between the school board and Appomattox County Board of Supervisors.
“This was just a very early conversation on this topic,” Bennett said. “This move will not have to take place for another five years and, only then, if Appomattox Christian Academy (ACA) takes ownership of the Confederate Boulevard property. We are just exploring possibilities at this point.”
