On Saturday, March 30, Appomattox Court House National Historical Park will participate in the 28th Annual Park Day, sponsored by the American Battlefield Trust. Park Day is an annual event giving volunteers an opportunity to help with clean-up and preservation projects on some of the nation’s most sacred grounds.
In preparation for the park’s 159th Anniversary event, volunteers will be tasked with scraping and painting a large section of picket fence within the historic village of Appomattox Court House.
