The Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office announced there will be a school supplies giveaway on Wednesday at Appomattox Elementary School from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event is being held in conjunction with the Appomattox Social Services, Appomattox Rescue, Appomattox Fire and Appomattox Victim Witness who will be handing out school supplies for Appomattox students.

This is a drive-thru event. Parents will drive up to the school and the bag will be handed to them in their vehicle. The child must be present in order to receive the supplies.

Supplies are limited to approximately 300 bags, so it's first come, first serve, according to the Sheriff's Office.
