Sometimes it really does take the proverbial village to help vulnerable children flourish in a mixed-up world.

Under the umbrella of the Vision 30 regional initiative (www.visionthirty.org) and Patrick Henry Family Services, that village now includes Mid-State Cares and dozens of other agency, church, community and family partners throughout Central Virginia.

As of late May, the consortium has already served 1,738 children in Central Virginia (2969 across Virginia)through its online resource portal. The Vision 30 CarePortal (www.careportal.org) connects diverse resources to muster a network of support for struggling kids.
