At the Appomattox Town Council meeting Monday, Kenny Gobble was appointed to the Town of Appomattox Economic Development Authority. His term ends Dec. 31, 2023. Council member Mary Lou Spiggle and Mayor Paul Harvey expressed that they were pleased with the appointment of Gobble.

The short meeting also featured the adoption of an ordinance revising a portion of the Code of the Town of Appomattox, in Chapter 185, Article I — General Provisions. The ordinance pertains to event applications and was reviewed by the sheriff’s office.
