Punxsutawney Phil didn’t see his shadow on the 2nd, predicting an early spring this year. Poor Phil’s accuracy isn’t very good, but it is a fun tradition. Regardless, spring will be here before we know it, so if you haven’t planned your late winter, early spring garden or the garden of your living, please consider this:
PLANT THREE ROWS OF PEAS:
1. Peas of mind
2. Peas of heart
3. Peas of soul
PLANT FOUR ROWS OF SQUASH:
1. Squash gossip
2. Squash indifference
3. Squash grumbling
4. Squash selfishness
PLANT FOUR ROWS OF LETTUCE:
1. Lettuce be faithful
2. Lettuce be kind
3. Lettuce be patient
4. Lettuce really love one another
DON’T FORGET YOUR TURNIPS:
1. Turnip for meetings
2. Turnip for service
3. Turnip to help one another
AND WE MUST HAVE THYME:
1. Thyme for each other
2. Thyme for family
3. Thyme for friends
After planting, water freely with patience and cultivate with love. There is great potential to bear much fruit in your garden, but don’t forget that you will reap what you sow.
