Small town museums tend to host some informative lectures for children and adults to enjoy.

On March 28, the American Civil War Museum (ACWM) in Appomattox hosted the “Appomattox Campaign” lecture that featured Patrick Schroeder’s historical presentation.

The lecture coincided with the museum’s goals, taught Appomattox people historical lessons, and featured a well-respected historian.

First, the museum held this event because the museum wanted to stay consistent with its goals.

“Lecture programs are an important part of the American Civil War Museum’s mission to engage the public on the important role the Civil War played in shaping the nation,” said Director of Marketing and Public Relations at the American Civil War Museum (ACWM) Jeniffer Maloney.

Currently, ACWM is working vigorously on its programming called “The Civil War & Remaking America.”
