With summer temperatures increasing and the Fourth of July Weekend occurring, families from Appomattox and nearby counties were on the lookout for a nice, refreshing place to cool off, socialize with others, and enjoy some good food.

On Saturday, July 1, the Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center hosted a summer pool party that put a big smile on the faces of many people and families in Appomattox and its nearby communities.

“It gave people a chance to soak up some sun and enjoy getting together with friends, family, and others from the community without having the burden of planning, cleaning, and cooking for a get together at their homes,” said Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center Business Administrator Tamara Lewis.

The event brought enjoyment to many families, helped the Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center, and was the result of a lot of planning from the people of the Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center.
