Former Appomattox Raiders softball player Kaleigh Hackett was recently named to the 2023 All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Third Team as an outfielder with the University of Lynchburg Hornets.

Hackett, a Class of 2020 graduate of Appomattox County High School, completed her junior season with the Hornets in May. The Hornets finished the 2023 season with an overall record of 24-19 (11-9 conference).

In 40 games played, Hackett recorded a .343 batting average with 34 base hits (including six doubles), 20 RBI, nine runs scored, and nine stolen bases. In the outfield, she recorded 63 putouts and one assist.
