Director of Brown Edwards regional accounting firm retires

On June 22, Brown Edwards, a regional accounting firm, honored its director, Susan Ackley, by hosting a retirement dinner.

Family, friends, and fellow employees gathered at the Craddock Terry Hotel and Event Center in Granite Hall, in Lynchburg, to celebrate her successful career.

“Susan was an industry trailblazer,” said Ryan McEntire, a Brown Edwards partner. “She was one of very few women in the accounting industry when she first started. Her and Amy Ray, our retired partner, broke the proverbial glass ceiling for professional women in Lynchburg.”
