Today at around noon, a two-vehicle accident occurred on U.S. Route 460 East across from BB&T Bank in Appomattox.

No injuries were reported at the scene.

A white Chevrolet Sonic collided with a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. The Sonic sustained extensive damage to the front end of the vehicle. The Silverado sustained rear bumper damage.

Arriving at the scene were the Appomattox Volunteer Fire Department, the Delta Response Team and Virginia State Police.
