Appomattox town manager retired from position Friday

Appomattox Town Manager Terry McGhee retired from his position on short notice, and Friday was his last official day on the job.

Rob Fowler, Town of Appomattox director of community development and planning, has taken over as interim town manager.

Attempts by the Times Virginian to reach McGhee for comment since a previously scheduled meeting was canceled have been unsuccessful.

The Times Virginian has reached out to the Town Office for comment. More information will be provided when it is received.
