As The Page Turns (by Jamerson Library)

March is marching on in an exciting way at the Jamerson Library as we prepare for the upcoming Spring/Summer seasons with lots of extra programs and events. We look forward to a plant swap, Jeeps, a visit from an art bus, our local book bus “Spot,” the 2023 Summer Reading Program, special displays, group activities, and more! As we get ready for the warmer seasons we have added new Craft-Projects-To-Go at the circulation desk for our younger patrons to enjoy — be sure to ask for one. It is one craft project, per child, per visit.

The Jamerson Library would like to say thank you to ACLA (Appomattox County Library Association) for their recent generous donations that have included new chairs for the conference room, supplies for this past winter’s Cookies with Santa, hot chocolate event, free Valentine's Day Gnome and Jeeps & Peeps Raffles, the purchases of snacks, crafts and other items for the library, replacement books, and so much more. ACLA is the 501(c)(3) non-profit friends-style group that has supported the library for over two decades, and we are grateful that this small but effective organization has continued to support us as we support the community.

It was a popping good time at last Wednesday, March 1st’s Preschool Story & Craft Time! A library staff member read the book “Goodbye Winter, Hello Spring” by Kenard Pak.
