It might be the middle of January but LOVE is in the air! February is “Love Your Library” month but we want to share warm hugs, sweet treats, good books and hot tea and chocolate with you from now through February!

The Jamerson Library is currently hosting “Blind Date With A Book.” Come to the front desk and pick out a book, all wrapped up in pretty paper. You won’t know what you got ’til you take it home and start reading it. There will be romance, of course, but some books will be mysteries, adventures, humorous reads and other genres. It is one book per person. Please be aware that these books are for a mature audience.

January is Hot Tea Month, and the library hosted a tea party for last week’s “Library for All” program on Tuesday, Jan. 10, with black tea, an assortment of herbal teas, and cookies. We had so much fun that we decided to continue hosting this event most of the day, letting patrons go into the conference room and enjoy some tea party interactive coloring and word game pages, making a fresh cup of brewed tea, and enjoying cookies. We would like to thank ACLA (Appomattox County Library Association) for providing most of the supplies for this event.
