Appomattox epitomizes small town America.
I did a walk about the county and township this past week working on another project that found me in many businesses for which I had no previous cause to cater to. Employees and owners greeted their customers as if they were long-time friends. No real pressures to purchase something, just good ole Virginian southern hospitality at its absolute best.
My mission this past week was to request support in the form of placing flyers in the business’ windows or bulletin boards for an upcoming event. Amazingly, very few declined.Most were eager to serve the community, including most of the large chain businesses.
