If the weather cooperates, Appomattox and Halifax will square off today at 6 p.m. for the Ozone Division I Virginia State DYB Tournament Championship at the Appomattox Community Park.
The teams played Tuesday night with Appomattox coming away with a 5-3 victory to extend the tournament. Appomattox was facing elimination in last night's matchup.
The winner will compete in the 2024 DYB World Series in Bossier City, La. The tournament is scheduled for Aug. 2-7.
Appomattox was eliminated from the Minors AAA Division I tournament last night with a 3-0 loss to Goochland, which will face Madison Heights today at 6 p.m. for the championship.
