Prior to Tuesday night's girls varsity basketball game between the Appomattox Raiders and Halifax Comets, played at Appomattox County High School, Raiders senior forward Shaniya Johnson was awarded for setting the school's single-season record for made free throws. In the 2018-19 season, Johnson converted 130 successful free throws to earn the honor.
