Five Appomattox Raiders sign National Letter of Intent with college programs

This afternoon at Appomattox County High School (ACHS), five Raiders student-athletes signed their National Letter of Intent with NCAA college programs, where they will pursue athletics as well as a higher education.

All five signees have won Class 2 state championships while at ACHS.

The following ACHS student-athletes signed today:

  • Tavorian Copeland (Virginia Tech football)
  • Jonathan Pennix (Virginia Tech football)
  • Wyatt Sisk (University of Charleston baseball)
  • Alex Caruso (Hampden-Sydney baseball)
  • Trey Shrock (Hampden-Sydney baseball)

The student-athletes' family members, friends, classmates, teammates, coaches and ACHS staff were in attendance. Guests were served pizza after the signings were made official.
