A Concord man who had been sentenced in August to serve a year and a half for a February home burglary in Appomattox County received an additional five years for burglaries in Campbell County.
On Thursday, Isiah Garland, 21, was scheduled for a jury trial in Campbell County Circuit Court but decided to plead guilty to 11 charges instead, according to Campbell County Assistant Commonwealth Attorney Eric Harrison.
Court records show that on the dates of Jan. 3, Jan. 8, Jan. 19, Feb. 5 and Feb. 21, Garland broke into four separate homes and one automobile. Harrison said the burglaries were committed in the vicinity of the Gladys and Naruna areas.
