Man pleads guilty to assault and battery, fleeing from police
In Appomattox County Circuit Court on Oct. 5, James Jimmy Hill, 47, of Appomattox, pleaded guilty to an amended misdemeanor charge of assault and battery, as well as misdemeanor fleeing from law enforcement. The assault and battery charge was downgraded from felony assault on law enforcement.
Woman sentenced for breaking and entering, property damage
On Oct. 5 in Appomattox County Circuit Court, Jahmie Leigh Hight, 35, of Gladstone, was sentenced to serve one month with the majority credited for time served. She pleaded guilty to breaking and entering, interfering with property rights, and destruction of property over $1,000.
