The big, orange food truck Appomattox residents may have seen located near the Triangle Plaza Shopping Center on Old Courthouse Road is named “Blended Soul” and has been present in town since opening Nov. 30.
The owner of Blended Soul is Crissy Sampier, who works the family business along with her husband Matt, her brother Steven Jambard, friends Ernestine and Tonyka Wright, delivery driver Ethan Harbin, and end of shift cleaner/prep worker Jake Evans.
Blended Soul offers a wide variety of homemade recipes — what Crissy describes as “Southern soul kind of food” — with items such as homemade collard greens and sauces, macaroni and cheese, fried fish, flounder and more. Some of the more popular items are the large salads, chicken on a stick, Southern fried fish, wraps and chicken wings.
