First responders in Appomattox County were treated to a lunch today, courtesy of Chick-fil-A Restaurant and The Farmers Bank of Appomattox.
The event was held at the pavilion at Courtland Festival Park on Court Street in Appomattox from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. First responders from all units - fire department, ambulance squads, police departments, etc. - were invited to receive a free Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich, chips, cookies and drinks.
The Farmers Bank of Appomattox and Chick-fil-A teamed up to show appreciation for the hard work done by the county's emergency personnel.
